Summer Company 2012

The Summer Company program provides a great opportunity for students between 15 and 29 years of age to develop entrepreneurial skills with the support of seed money and experienced mentors. Students must submit a viable, detailed business plan (the Business Advisory Centre can help) and compete for the award. (space is limited - apply early). 

To get started, visit the Summer Company 2013 website and fill out their on-line application. Students in Northumberland County should choose "Cobourg" as their program provider and within 1-2 business days, you will be contacted by the Business Advisory Centre Northumberland to assist you in continuing your application. If your business plan and your application are approved, you will complete about 12 hours of training, be matched with a suitable mentor, receive up to $1500 toward your Start Up Budget and have on-going coaching support throughout the course of the summer as you grow and develop your business.

Although the program ends after Labour Day, many student business owners choose to continue running their business and earning profits. The Business Advisory Centre Northumberland supports them in their efforts. Find out if you have what it takes to be an entrepreneur.
